Product Recommendations

Clients often ask me what supplements I take, what protein I like, etc. so I thought I'd just compile them all in a handy list.

Full disclosure: I make a small percentage off of every purchase, so if you want to try any of the stuff I recommend you can help me out by going through the links below.

Animal Creatine Capsules

This is the creatine I take. I like it because it comes in capsules and is far less messy than a powder. Plus I don't have to worry about it all dissolving in my drink. I take 4 every morning which comes out to 5g a day.

Slate Ultra Protein Shakes

These are the protein drinks I like. 42g of protein and ranging from 180-200 calories depending on the flavor. For my money they're the best tasting high protein drinks I've found. Plus, I like that they're not in a plastic bottle but a can.

FitAid Recovery drink

I love these! I drink one just about every day. They're fantastic for recovery (but don't neglect your protein) and taste good too. This company has a whole line of great drinks, from energy to party recovery and everything in between.

Chike Protein Coffee

If you like iced lattes this one's for you. Tons of delicious flavor options and 20g of protein per serving. They even have a triple shot of espresso option for a little extra pick me up.

Legendary Protein PopTarts

These are the protein Pop-Tarts I like. There are quite a few flavors available. They are waaaay more expensive than regular Pop-Tarts but they do have 22g of protein or about the same amount of calories.

David Protein bars

These are the protein bars I like. 150 calories and 28g of protein is the best bang for your buck I've found. They have been embroiled in quite some controversies about claims that they have more fat and calories than they claim but so far I remain sold on them. As far as flavor goes, they're fine. They're definitely not any worse than any other protein bar.

Grab the Gold Energy/Protein bars

I've been a fan of these since I first discovered them a decade ago in Nashville. Just under 200 calories and 11g of protein, so not quite as good as David bars but man do they taste a whole lot better. They're similar to a no bake cookie but much denser. I keep some in my glove compartment in case I need a little snack.

Epic Chicken Sriracha bars

If you're looking for a savory protein bar (and eat meat) then this is my go to. Chicken Sriracha is the only flavor of theirs I've found to be good, but hey, maybe you'll like the others. They're 100 calories a piece and have 11g of protein. I like to pair one of these with string cheese. Clocks in at 180 calories with 19g of protein.
